After party

I don't normally talk about work in my personal blog unless if I have something to bitch about but this, I am compelled to. About 3 months ago my jaw dropped when I was told to organize a major event for the company. I remember protesting "What?? I am not an event expert. My portfolio is Outdoor and Media Management. How come??" Well, to make long story short, all the protesting and pleading came to nothing and I was hurled into it totally unprepared. That was when the late nights, long hours started and I was driven half crazy with the proportion of things that came crashing on me (mind you, I still had to do my regular tasks under my official portfolio).

The events started a little less than a month ago on almost daily basis leading up to this mother of all events; the Bukit Bintang street party. I think I pulled it off (but of course it is always politically correct to say "we"pulled it off but this is my blog and I am still marvelling at how I ever managed to get this done considering I have almost zero exprience on Event Management) . The event was such a success with about 5000 revellers coming to party on the street under the pouring rain and all (wet -shirt show? hehe).

I don't need to yak a lot on my blog about this event since it is already talked about everywhere - in the media, online; FB, Twitter etc, but I think on a much personal note, it's safe to say that even after I've listened and heard the "Through My Window" song for 1788th time, I wouldn't feel like puking anymore but instead will fondly remember what this song personally means to me - an achievement.

Now, I will be politically correct - Thank you to each and everyone in the team for making this a HUGE success :)

p/s boss - no, I still do not want to change my portfolio, thank you very much!

Hoping that time flies fast enough...

Life is a blurry of weekend events, weekday workloads and late nights, never ending paperworks for the new house and loads of daydreaming of getting all these to end quickly.

Top 10 in my to-do list when I really, finally have the time and in no particular order:

1. resume my latest unfinished painting.

2. move house and start on my interior decor project (tired of pouring over the mags already. I just want to do it!)

3. take up proper guitar class (and not miss a class, I promise!)

4. test drive Peugeot 308 (with a hidden intention...K-*hint*)

5. go for an overnighter with my gfs to Avilion for spa indulgence

6. escape with K for our annual year end getaway

7. oopss...and yes, start off the MagiqLense coffee table book (I know I've been putting this off for the longest time)

8. spay Kit Kat

9. take KTM to Kluang, lepak at Kluang Kopitiam and come back.

10. blog more?

Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.

Okkaaayyy...I may not be in that so called Alpha group anymore but I'm unabashedly soo into this song right now. I find it a mood fixer after a crappy day of mental and back breaking workloads and nitpickings by the UnFun. So, Press Play on the Highway and I'm all ready to PAARTAYY!!
